Jaltemba Bay Rentals These shots were taken Sunday 29 August 2004, during the height of the rainy season. Those of you who only winter here may not realise that there are sometimes clouds over our heads.

This was also a significant day in the local tourist season: Mexican children have six weeks in July and August for school vacation, and this brings a LOT of inland families to the coast. On this Sunday, the buses and cars began leaving town in the morning and, by this afternoon, only a few stragglers were left. Thus began the quiet time which lasted until the snowbirds began trickling down in October.

Los Ayala beach, east to west Los Ayala beach, west to east
This shows almost the entirety of Los Ayala's beach, looking westward. The fine, light-coloured sand and the calm water, sheltered from the ocean swells by the curve of Jaltemba Bay, make this beach the favourite of many. At the far end of the beach, a well-kept path leads over the ridge to the tiny, even more-sheltered "Kissing Beach". The whole length of Los Ayala beach looking eastward. This photo was taken from a little way up the path to the "Kissing Beach". At the far end of the beach you see another small ridge; beyond it is a little beach accessible only by boat or a private road and beyond that is Rincón de Guayabitos. In the distant background, the shoreline of Bahía de Jaltemba continues out of the frame to the left toward Boca del Naranjo.
